The Challenge

Helping them transition to digital and targeting a profitable ROAS

FAO Schwarz is a toy brand with a famous retail location at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York. The company was founded in 1862, making it the oldest toy store in the United States. It is known for life-sized stuffed animals, high-end toys, and interactive experiences – and has even appeared in movies like Big and Home Alone!
Right Left Agency was tasked with helping this well-established brand go digital with online ads. After thoroughly testing a variety of ad platforms and strategies, we successfully hit and exceeded the goal return on ad spend with over a 15x average return on ad spend.

Online Advertising

FAO Schwarz had done very little online advertising and wanted to see which online advertising platforms would be profitable for them.
In the first eight weeks, we tested running ads on Facebook, Google Search, Google Shopping, Adroll, Bing and Bing Shopping. We found that Facebook and Google provided by far the highest return on ad spend, so we focused the budget there moving forward.
